The studio is developed on the tower typology. Understanding It as the scope of problems of free perimeter, more than 100mts in height, independently of its function, buildings. The course will impart rational knowledge of the elements and constructive arrangements that can be used in Architecture, by analyzing their functional conditions and the characteristics of the materials that make them up and how to arrange them, intensifying the enclosure devices (tight and thermal enclosure) ) and structural (stable envelope). The aim is to give the student the ability to solve technical problems, avoiding isolated knowledge and particular solutions and, on the contrary, seeking the analytical capacity of the student with a general formative criterion. The student will delve into the typological structure of the main construction elements in relation to their location: Contact with the ground: The socle. The development: the flight of the building. And its culmination: The cover. Incorporate the networks of facilities and their relationship with the definition of the architectural envelope.
