Lecture delivered on October 29, 2025
Maria Cedó’s lecture took place within the framework of the course Building Construction III, at the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, addressing the design and technical resolution of lightweight façades from an integrated perspective that bridges architecture, technology, and constructive performance.
Graduated as an architect from ETSAB – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2010), Maria Cedó developed her professional career between 2005 and 2013 in architectural offices and façade engineering firms, an experience that enabled her to consolidate a critical and technically rigorous approach to this specific field of the discipline.
In 2013, she founded DOS54, a consultancy specialised in the development of architectural envelope projects, from where she articulates architectural design, façade engineering, and technical site supervision under an integrated approach.
She completed the Master’s Degree in Lightweight Façade Architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2017 and, since 2019, has been a member of the Academic Committee and teaching staff of the Master’s Degree in Lightweight Façade Architecture at the University of the Basque Country / EHU, actively participating in the training of new generations of specialists.
